You can reach the top of Enoshima in 4 minutes.
ⒶThis is an escalator for upward travel that runs from the entrance to Enoshima Shrine to the top of Enoshima.
The journey that would take about 20 minutes to walk up the 250 steps can be completed in about 4 minutes.
It is Japan's first outdoor escalator
Each escalator connects three sections to the top of Enoshima.
① The total length is 106 meters.
② The difference in elevation is 46 meters.
① The first section is from Torii-mae( in front of gate) to Hetsumiya(shrine).
② The second section is from Hetsumiya(shrine) to Nakatsumiya(shrine).
③ The third section is from Nakatsumiya(shrine) to the summit.
This is an outdoor paid escalator for going up only.
Please note that you will have to go down the stairs to return from the top.
There are discount tickets available.
① The fee for the Enoshima Escar is 360 yen for adults and 180 yen for children.
② There is an Enoshima Sea Candle set ticket.
You can purchase a set of tickets for Ⓐ "Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden", Ⓑ "Enoshima Sea Candle", and Ⓒ "Enoshima Escar".
You can purchase it at the Escar 1st Section Boarding Area. You can also purchase it online.
③ There is an Enoshima 1-Day Ticket.
You can purchase a set of tickets for Ⓐ "Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden", Ⓑ "Enoshima Sea Candle", Ⓒ "Enoshima Escar", and Ⓓ "Iwaya (Cave)".
You can purchase it at the Escar 1st Section Boarding Area, Katase Enoshima Tourist Information Center, and Fujisawa City Tourist Center.
