There is a botanical garden
The garden was opened by Samuel Cocking, an English trader living in Yokohama.
That's why it was named "Samuel Cocking Garden."
The garden covers an area of about 18,000 square meters.
We can enjoy a wide variety of flowers and plants.
This is a botanical garden where you can see Ⓐ "Flowers that bloom in Japan's four seasons" and Ⓑ "Tropical plants" brought by Samuel Cocking.
Since it grows a wide variety of flowers and plants, you can enjoy them all year round.
It has also been selected as one of the "100 Best Flower Spots in Kanagawa."
During certain periods, you can walk through the "conservatory ruins" which are usually closed to the public.
We can see the ruins of a brick greenhouse built by Samuel Cocking during the Meiji period.
Normally, you can only see it from above.
