This is a blacksmith who handles the famous Japanese sword "Masamune".

The current Masamune Arts and Crafts Factory is a blacksmith that has been in business for over 700 years since the Kamakura period.
The shop is run by the descendants of "Masamune", who is famous for his Japanese swords. Currently, the 24th generation is running it.

It is said that the first Masamune, the founder of the Sagami tradition, "Goro Nyudo" and "Okazaki Masamune", made the Masamune swords during the Kamakura period.
The founder of the Sagami tradition, "Goro Nyudo Masamune", is said to have built the foundations of Kamakura blacksmithing.

From the "Masamune Arts and Crafts Factory" website

The characteristic of the "Sagami tradition" is that it is fired at a high temperature. Firing at a high temperature makes the blade pattern (the wave pattern that can be seen on the blade) larger.
However, firing at a high temperature makes the blade more likely to break.
To compensate for this drawback, soft iron and hard iron are mixed into the material.
This unique technique produces swords with large, beautiful blade patterns, and it is said that the Sagami tradition is highly valued as a work of art.

Swords and blades have long been said to "cut open the tip."
That's why many people buy them as "celebratory gifts" or "souvenirs.
Four of Masamune's swords and five of his short swords have been designated national treasures.

You can buy  scissors and knives
In the Showa era, in addition to making swords, they also began making "scissors" and "knives.
"They make blades and iron crafts that utilize sword-making techniques.
