There is a small bell

It is located at the end of a narrow road in front of Enoshima Okutsumiya Shrine.
It is located on a hill with a great view overlooking Sagami Bay.

You and your lover ring the bell together,
② attach a padlock with your names written on it to a nearby fence.
It is said that this will make your eternal love come true.

Padlocks can be purchased at local stores.

It originates from the dragon god legend that is passed down in Enoshima.

Inspired by the "legend of the love between the heavenly maiden and the five-headed dragon,"
many lovers visit the shrine hoping for their love to come true.

                              Ryujin(The dragon god) legend

"Enoshima Shrine" is said to be related to "Ryujin(the dragon god)".

The story goes that Gozuryu(a five-headed dragon), who had been causing trouble, stopped being evil after falling in love with a celestial Tennyo(heavenly maiden) and married her.
It is said that
the heavenlyl maiden is Benzaiten, who is enshrined at ”Enoshima Shrine ”.
The five-headed dragon is also enshrined at” Ryukomyojin Shrine ”in Koshizuka .

Therefore, it is said that visiting both Ⓐ"Ryukomyojin Shrine", which enshrines the five-headed dragon , and Ⓑ" the Benten-do Hall of Enoshima Shrine", which enshrines the heavenly maiden (Benten-do), will bring you good fortune .
